MEMBERS & AFFILIATES

3.1

Membership of the Society shall consist of:

(a) A Founder Member which shall be the NTUC INCOME Insurance Co-operative

Limited; and

(b) Ordinary Members who qualify for membership in accordance with By-Law 3.2.1.

3.2.1    Ordinary Members shall be individual persons who may from time to time be admitted

at the discretion of the Board of Directors in accordance with these By-Laws and who

have not been disqualified by order of any Court of Law or by reason of any enactment

or regulation in that behalf from driving at any time, and who fulfil all the following

conditions:

(a) be 21 years of age or above; and

(b) be citizens of Singapore or residents in Singapore; and

(c) be of good character; and

(d) not be legally or mentally disabled; and

(e) not be undischarged bankrupts or have accepted any offer of relief afforded to

bankrupts; and

(t) not be convicted of any offence punishable with imprisonment; and

(g) be holders of valid driving licenses issued or recognised under the Road

Traffic Act (Cap.276) for at least 18 month. .,

3.2.2   (a) An application for Ordinary Membership may be made without any proposer or

seconder but shall satisfy the conditions of By-Law 3.2.1.

(b) Application for membership shall be submitted on a form prescribed by the Board

of Directors.

(c) The Board of Directors shall have power to approve or reject an application or

Ordinary Membership without assigning any reason for its decision.

(d) The total cost of the shares' held by the Founder Member as required in By-Law 5.2

shall be regarded as the membership fee of the Founder Member.
