(c) upon the dissolution or deregistration in the case of the Founder Member;
(d) death, insanity or bankruptcy in the case of an Ordinary Member;
(e) permanent removal of residence outside Singapore; or
(f) for all members, by resignation after giving one month's notice in writing or
shorter notice approved by the Board of Directors.
3.11   Cessation of membership shall take effect from the date of occurrence of any of the
events stated in By-Law 3.10 or the decision of the Board of Directors, whichever is the
earlier provided that the Society shall not be precluded from recovering any sum of
money whatsoever owing by the member to the Society.
3.12  An Ordinary Member who ceases to possess a valid driving license issued for private
cars (as required under By-Law 3.2.1(g» from any cause whatsoever, including the
withdrawal, suspension or revocation of any such license shall thereupon cease to be
eligible to be an Ordinary Member of the Society, unless the Board of Directors
expressly decides otherwise in their absolute discretion.
3.13    The Board of Directors may expel a member:
(a) for any breach of these By-Laws or the regulations made thereunder or a resolution
of a General Meeting or the Board of Directors; or
(b) for any conduct which may discredit or bring into disrepute, or any act which may
be detrimental to the good name and interest of the Society; or

(c) for any default in payment of dues to the Society; or
(d) for participating in or associating with any business that competes with the business
of the Society or is inconsistent with the need for solidarity among the members of
the Society as a basis of cooperation; provided that he shall be given a reasonable
opportunity to show cause as to why he should not be expelled as a member of the
Society; or
(e) if the Board of Directors decides that the member has ceased to be eligible for
membership by virtue of By-Law 3.12 above.
