Remembering your PIN number. The Car Co-Op has encountered an increase in the number of PIN lock out cases. Members are kindly reminded to remember their PIN numbers as the system, for security reasons, will lock your card out after 3 failed attempts. Please note down your PIN numbers. This will help you to access your booked car smoothly, without having to call the office to unblock your card later on. But please do not write an uncoded PIN on the smartcard. Keeping the car clean Members are kindly advised to keep the car clean as a courtesy to the next user. Please refrain from eating, drinking, smoking and bringing pets into the car. This will also discourage the breeding of pests like cockroaches and ants. Though we have scheduled cleaning services, members’ cooperation will go a long way in keeping our cars clean for everyone. Please remove your rubbish after each use.

Admin fees for settling summons The Car Co-op has been tracing the responsible members, settling the fines/summons on the members’ behalf, and recovering the fees from the members later. The service is time consuming, costly and unnecessary in most cases as the members should be fully aware of the fines, particularly parking offences. With effect from 1 May 2008, there will be an administrative fee of S$10 for settling each of these summonses. Members are kindly reminded to adhere to traffic laws, and to settle their own summons direct and immediately if they can. Returning your Car Please return your car punctually so as not to inconvenient the next driver; it can be frustrating waiting for a late car return, and upsetting your schedule. Please park the car in the reserved car co-op parking lot. In the event any unauthorized vehicle is occupying any of the Car Co-op lots, please call the HDB Enforcement Unit at 1800-2721409 to report the violation. HDB will send an officer down to summon the driver. You need not be there when the officer arrives. Should it be necessary for you to park the car outside our reserved carpark lots, do remember to indicate the parking lot number and deck on the paper tag provided in the Key Manager. Winners of the PAE Survey lucky draw Congratulations to the lucky 5 members who have won an MP3 player each, for their recent participation in the NUS car-sharing survey. The 5 winners are:
Winners have been notified separately for the collection of their prize. We would like to thank all participants for their kind cooperation.
Topping up petrol Members are kindly reminded to ensure that they return the car with at least a quarter tank of petrol. If all users conscientiously adhere to this rule, everyone will be able to benefit from the scheme. Let us help ourselves by helping others. Remember that the speedpass only accepts Esso 95 petrol. In the unlikely event that the speedpass fails, please keep and send the original receipts to us for a reimbursement.
Road safety system on trial Presently, ten of our cars have been fitted with an early warning system under a pilot project to improve driving safety. These cars are located in the east zone. This American system will not affect the operations of the car. Basically, the system alerts you if you are too close to the vehicle in front of you, or if you are drowsy or stray out of your lane with out giving the proper signal. Please do not be alarmed and we welcome your feedback on the usefulness of the system.
